Connecting college students for study and collaboration meant real-time video at scale with verified identity and strong privacy controls — across multiple universities, on consumer devices.
What we built
A native iOS platform built on real-time video — one-on-one over WebRTC and group video through Twilio — with verified-identity onboarding via school email, automated grouping by subject, school, and year, a proprietary content-reporting system, and customizable privacy controls, on AWS. Built to connect college students for study and collaboration, it launched across Texas A&M, Texas Tech, the University of Houston, and Texas State University, reaching thousands of students.
